Age verification

MOVA supports responsible consumption and complies with the legal requirements for the sale of alcoholic products.

Under Article 71, Part 1, Clause 2 of the Law of Ukraine No. 3817-IX of 18 June 2024, the sale of beer (other than non-alcoholic) and other alcoholic beverages to persons under 18 is prohibited.

That is why, when you place an order that contains alcoholic drinks, you must confirm your age through the Diia app.

Please note: the 18+ age check is carried out only when ordering alcoholic products. No age verification is required to buy merch, lemonades or non-alcoholic drinks.

HOW TO CONFIRM YOUR AGE (18+) VIA DIIA

1. WHAT DO YOU NEED TO CONFIRM YOUR AGE?

To pass the age check, please prepare:
1.1. A smartphone with the Diia app — the app must be installed and you must be logged in.
1.2. An active Diia.Signature (Дія.Підпис) — it is required to confirm the request when the age check on the MOVA website is done via Diia.Signature.
1.3. An internet connection — make sure your smartphone is connected to the network.

2. HOW TO ACTIVATE DIIA.SIGNATURE?

Diia.Signature is a free electronic signature that you can create directly in the Diia app. It is valid for one year.

To activate it, you will need an ID card or a biometric foreign passport, as well as a smartphone with NFC support.

If your Diia.Signature is already active, you do not need to create it again.

3. HOW TO CONFIRM YOUR AGE WHEN PLACING AN ORDER?

Step 1. Choose your products.
Add the products you want to your cart on shop.mova.beer and proceed to checkout.

Step 2. Start the age verification.
If your order contains alcoholic drinks, the checkout page will offer you to confirm your age via Diia.
If you are ordering from a computer, a QR code will appear on the screen. If you are ordering from a smartphone, you will see a link that takes you to the Diia app.

Step 3. Open the request in Diia.
Scan the QR code with your smartphone or tap the link. A request to confirm your age for MOVA will open in the Diia app.

Step 4. Confirm your age.
Check the information in the request and follow the app's prompts. If needed, pass an additional identity check and confirm the request with your Diia.Signature PIN code.

Step 5. Complete your order.
After a successful check, return to the MOVA website. You can now finish placing and paying for your order.

If the age verification is not passed, you will not be able to place an order containing alcoholic products.

4. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

4.1. I cannot activate Diia.Signature. What should I do?
Make sure your smartphone supports NFC and that this feature is turned on in the settings. Try changing the position of the document near the back panel of the phone so that the app can read the chip.

4.2. Do I have to activate Diia.Signature every time?
No. If your Diia.Signature is active, you do not need to create it again. To confirm a new request, it is enough to follow the steps suggested by the app.

4.3. What if I do not have an ID card or a phone with NFC?
Please contact MOVA support at +38 067 13 66 260. We will help you find out which age verification methods are available for your order.

4.4. What data does the shop receive during the age check?
MOVA receives only the confirmation that the customer has reached the age of 18. We do not receive or store any personal data of the customer from the Diia app, including passport details, date of birth or copies of documents.

4.5. Do I need to confirm my age to order non-alcoholic products?
No. If your cart contains only merch, lemonades or non-alcoholic drinks, you do not need to pass the 18+ age check.
